QSH9_23 === Québec Short Hops for FS9
Aéroport Régionale de BROMONT === CZBM

Should work fine in FS2002 as well but READ the note in the installation. The sounds will not work in FS2002. Some of the parking and apron will be different. Also, the sounds will not work.

=======================================
Bromont is situated some 40 miles South East of the City of Montréal, Québec.

I have made this scenery as close to reality as I could with some partial pictures and lots of the 'artist's licence'. I used to fly from there in the l970's, but it is much different now. The terminal was not at all similar to the actual one, also, there were no gliders there then and there was only the paved runway.

If you do not use Lago Enhancer, you will not see a couple of secondary objects

Please take care not to hurt 'Fifi la Pew' my skunk....

SPECIAL NOTES FOR GLIDERS ==== THERMALS

This scenery is also for gliding fans. It is in the middle of my Québec Short Hops thermal territory. You can search for the file: 'CNV4_ff1.zip', that is my Hawkesbury scenery and it contains thermals for a big portion of Québec all the way to Elmira, NY. Those files were made by Bill Bomball. Thanks for the extra fun Bill.

KNOW ISSUES:(those lines are to keep the bug chasers happy)

If you have installed the above Thermal files, you may, from a specific location but for a couple of seconds only, see part of the scenery disappear. Just move a couple of feet and it will pop back on. There is no way to fix this except eliminate the thermal files and I certainly do not wish to do this. It is no big deal at all really....

The color of the hangar is not quite as it should be and, there is another minor bug, but will not tell you in case you do not notice it. I was working on these problems when by mistake I deleted my source files. This would have meant to redo the hangar completely to fix these too minor issues to worth the extra time.

Nit pickers and bug chasers are not welcomed to send me their comments. You do not like it, sorry, I will double your money back if need be.

I create my sceneries in summer recommended for its best use.

========================================

Québec Short Hop sceneries are aimed at making VFR flying in Québec most pleasant and attractive as I can make it. So far, for FS9, I have created a few sceneries along the St.Lawrence river and also in the Beauce region and now, I am spreading around Montréal. These sites are close enough so you can hop from one to the other using the lighthouses and other aids.

If I notice a way to improve an item or a texture, even if this item or texture is used in a previous release, I reserve the right to change it anytime.

You can upload any of the sceneries if you make a search at either AvSim of FlighSim.com and search for author Leon Louis.

=========================================

I wish to thank John de Langristin for his automobies. I also thank Robert Palmer for his trees. I thank Tom Fica for his nice vehicles. I also thank Frank Betts for the work bench and engine hoist. Thanks also to Michael Rodriguez for the wire fence. Thanks also to Jim Jackson of Northern Exposure for the picnic tables and the Canadian Flag.

Thanks also to Bill Derenburger and for testing the beta version.

I must not forget Tom Hiscox and Brian McWilliams for the program "Airport for Windows" and also Matthias Brückner for the program EOD which I used to make my macros. I thank also Martin Wright for the program DXT. I also thank Lee Swordy for the program afcad.

I hope I did not forget anyone. If so, I am deeply sorry and please send me a note.

I N S T A L L A T I O N FOR ALL MY QUEBEC SHORT HOPS SCENERIES

For the LAGO sounds and scenery installation, please refer to the LAGO folder. FS2004 ONLY.

If you do not have a Quebec Short Hops folder "Quebec SH9" where you usually install your sceneries, you must make one and make also one subfolder named scenery and another named texture.

You should then have:

xxxxxxx/Quebec SH9/scenery
/texture

As many of my textures are repeated from one scene to the other, this will use lot less room on your hard drive.

During installation overwrite when prompted to do so.

Place the CONTENTS ONLY of the scenery folder in the above scenery folder you created.

Then, do the same with the CONTENTS ONLY of the texture folder to go into the texture folder.

For FS2004 ONLY, place the CONTENTS ONLY of the addon_scenery folder (if any is included with the download) into:

xxxxxxx/Flight Simulator 9/Addon Scenery/Scenery

Place the CONTENTS ONLY of the effects folder (if any is included with the download) in the Effects folder of your Flight Simulator.

You need to activate Quebec SH9 in the scenery library if not already done.

That is all.

Restart Flight Simulator and welcome to "La Belle Province"

Thank you

Enjoy your visit
